Singing is how Darfuris in the refugee camps remain connected to their homeland. When you enter a classroom, they are singing about their great lands and how they will return. Men pound on traditional drums and metal pots with sticks are held together by vines to make traditional sounding guitars. Music fuels their hope of returning one day to a peaceful Darfur. i-ACT Rhythm & Hope aims to bring a musician to the refugee camps in Chad to sing with and for the people of Darfur. Stay tuned for information on dates and how you can be a part of Rhythm & Hope!
