Call to Action for Florida on Atrocities Prevention

There is an urgent opportunity to ask Senator Rubio to lead on preventing genocide and mass atrocities. Today, Thursday, June 23 we are asking as many constituents as possible to take 2 minutes to call Senator Rubio’s Washington, D.C. office to urge him to co-sponsor Senate Bill 2551, the Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act. The bill has broad-based support, including from over 65 organizations as well as 7 generals and admirals in the U.S. Armed Forces. Will you take a couple of minutes to add your voice?

What You Can Do

1. Call Senator Rubio’s Washington, D.C. office at 202-224-3041 using the sample script below:

“Hi. My name is _________ and I am a constituent of Senator Rubio’s from _______, Florida. I’m calling to urge the Senator to co-sponsor Senate Bill 2551, the Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act. Can the Senator co-sponsor S.2551?”

2. If you have a couple extra minutes, you can also send a message via Twitter. Here’s a sample tweet: Sen @marcorubio will you join 65+ orgs & 7 US generals & admirals in supporting atrocities prevention? Pls cosponsor S.2551. @senrubiopress
