Dear Ambassador Samantha Power: after 6 years at The White House, is #Darfur better off or still a #ProblemFromHell? bit.ly/1Gqv8LT

Background

For six years, Ambassador Samantha Power has been a part of the Obama Administration, where she has worked on mass atrocity prevention and now serves as the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. She is recognized as one of the preeminent genocide scholars and, before joining the Administration, was a leading activist on behalf of protecting innocent civilians around the world.

Over the last six years, Darfur has continued to experience horrific violence, with over 2.5 million people displaced – more than half a million of those since 2014. In her book A Problem from Hell, Ambassador Power describes America’s failure to respond in the face of genocide as a failure of political will.

What will be her legacy on Darfur? Ask her and the Administration to act now.

For policy recommendations, please see and sign Enough Project’s letter to Secretary of State John Kerry, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power, and National Security Advisor Susan Rice to push the U.S. Government: Ask the U.S. Government to double-down on diplomacy for Sudan and South Sudan
